Kalau ikutkan, kebanyakan market kat Thailand ni lebih kurang sama je kat mana-mana pun. Tapi ada sesuatu yang menarik perhatiaan kami nak ke Maeklong Railway Market. Why? Because it has a train running through the middle of it several times a day. Right down the middle and close enough to touch. And it happens only in Thailand.

Maeklong Railway Market is our next destination after Damnoen Saduak floating market. About 30mins from Damnoen Saduak Floating market by minivan.

Maeklong station

The Maeklong Railway (also known as the Mae Klong Railway) is a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3-3⁄8 in) (Metre gauge) railway that runs for nearly 67 kilometres between Wongwian Yai, Bangkok, and Samut Songkhram in central Thailand. The Maeklong railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway Market. Also known as Talat Rom Hup which means the "umbrella pulldown market". It is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand and is centred on the Maeklong Railway's track. Whenever a train approaches, the awnings and shop fronts are moved back from the rails, to be replaced once the train has passed. (source)

Di sinilah tempat laluan train nak ke last station, maeklong... during train passes through, all left & right side business need to put aside to give way to the train

Bukan rezeki kami nak saksikan train lalu hari ni sebab railway track Ban Laem-Maeklong still under maintenance. Kalau ikutkan schedule yang diberitahu a few websites, "Ban Laem-Maeklong section closed for renovations in May 2015 and scheduled to re-open in 8 November 2015". Hampa sungguh. Kalau tahu awal-awal lagi memang aku takkan ke sini. Masa tu nak tukar plan ke another nearest floating market, Amphawa pun rasanya macam dah tak cukup masa. Sebab nanti kami terpaksa cari transport sendiri lagi nak ke situ. And aku dah plan after Maeklong, kami akan jalan-jalan di Bangkok Platinum & Pratunam Mall. Nampaknya nak kena pergi lagi lah ni nampaknya, emmhhh.

Memandangkan takde train yang kami perlu tunggu, so, masa yag ada kami spend jalan-jalan di sekitar area Maeklong railway station ni. Dah rasa bosan sangat & tak tahu nak buat apa dah, kami berjalan ke minivan station yang berhampiran, balik ke Bangkok. Another 2 hrs journey. 

Back to Bangkok City... ada minivan station tak jauh dari maek long market ni
