Desa Dairy Farm is located at the foothill of Mt. Kinabalu, at the Mesilau Plateau, Kundasang, Ranau. You could see another side of Mt. Kinabalu just in front of you on your way to Desa Dairy Farm if weather condition is good. And if you are going to climb mount Kinabalu thru mesilau track, you will definitely passed by this place on the way to Mesilau Nature Resort. Rasa nye dah dua kali kot aku ke Mesilau Nature Resort tapi tak pernah pulak terfikirkan nak singgah ke sini. Emmhhh... maybe sebab tujuan asal aku lebih kepada nak menawan Kinabalu.

Rupanye inilah tempat yang orang cakap konon-konon nye ala-ala feel kat new Zealand tu... I would say, exactly. The cold weather, farm fencing, and Friesian cattle make you totally feel like you were in New Zealand... hehehe. 

But, I felt a bit dissapointed sebab kami tak nampak mount Kinabalu time ni sebab cuaca mendung and kabus yang agak tebal. And since today was public holiday, so, quite many people at this time.

The best time to visit the farm is around 2:30pm as milking session is starting at 3pm every day and we arrived just in time for the milking process. At this time, you could see, hundreds of cows were lined up waiting for milking. Each of these cattle could produce at least 14 litres of milk a day. Hebat kan... hehehe.

It was amazing that to see cows lining up to the milking station without being guided. They knew exactly what to do.

While the milking process is on going... the worker will feed the cattle at the same time

Fresh milk in original & chocolate flavors are available for sales at the lobby. Souvenirs also available and it is nice to grab something for your own collection, friends and family perhaps.
