Hong Kong Day 3: Peak Tram & Madame Tusaaud

Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Island
Sunday, 2nd March 2014

Seawal pagi kami dah bergerak untuk ke destinasi kami yang utama pada hari ini, peak tram ride. From Delta Hotel, kami naik MTR Tsim Sha Tsui untuk ke MTR Central, the nearest station to peak tram. After exit dari MTR Central, akan nampak Chater Garden & keep walking while follow the signbard that will guide you to the peak tram.

Once you exit from the MRT subway, just follow the signboard that will lead you to the peak tram station

Alhamdulillah kami sampai agak awal di peak tram station & tak nampak pulak ada orang beratur beli ticket walaupun today is weekend. Mungkin masih awal lagi kot. Mula-mula ingat nak amek full package “Return Peak Tram + Madame Tussauds + Sky Terrace 428” tapi memandangkan cuaca tak berapa nak cerah, chinese guy yang jual ticket tu advise amek package “Return Peak Tram + Madame Tussauds” sahaja. And let say, kami bernasib baik & cuaca cerah, kami boleh beli ticket kat atas sahaja nanti. Cuma harga dia akan jadi mahal sikitlah. Ok, at least dia cakap jujur kan. So, kami beli recommended package sahaja.

We arrived a bit early, so, no need to queue to purchase ticket

We choose Adult Return peak tram + Madame Tussauds since weather was not so ok this time, cloudy and foggy

After dah masuk tu, rupanya dah ramai orang tengah queue giliran nak naik tram. Peak tram ride ni quite steep & it climbs up to 396 meters above sea level. The ride will take approxiamtely 10 minutes to reack victoria peak. I could imagine, kalau cuaca cerah & ok masa tu, mesti view on the way to the peak sangat cantik. Advisable kalau dari tram station dibawah, sila ambil right side seat sebab view yang cantik disebelah kanan kalau dari bawah. Masa tu nampak jugalah view HK cuma cuaca agak mendung & berkabus.

Kat luar tak perlu queue tapi nak naik tram sila beratur yea

Full with Tupperware delegates from Seberang... hehehe

Peak Tram Railway

Sampai-sampai je atas, akan masuk satu building & guest what... akan jumpa peak market first. Sempat jugalah singgah dulu servey before ke our main agenda. Peak market ni ada jual macam-macam souvenirs & harga dia pun quite ok. So, kami plan nak singgak masa pulang nanti sahaja.

First thing you would see once entering this building. Peak Market

Our first agenda, kita masuk Madamme Tussauds dulu. Queue nak masuk pun dah panjang, can’t imagine kalau nak amek gambar dengan retis popular kat dalam tu, confirm kena queue juga kan. Emmhhh, nak buat macam mana redha jelah. Huh.

William Shakespear, tulih poem ke berangan?

Last time jumpa kat Bangkok pun serius juga, bila nak senyum ni... errkkk

Donnie Yen a.k.a Ip man

Hong Kong from the Peak

Memandangkan masa kami sampai atas cuaca still macam tu juga so, kami decide tak jadi lah nak masuk Sky Terrace 428.

Awesome view from Sky Terrace 428

Sky Terrace 428 standing at 428m above sea level. This is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong offering a stunning 360 degree panoramic view across the Hong Kong city. Imagine if the wheather is nice, confirm day view is amazing. Jeolous pulak tengok gambar-gambar orang yang sempat sampai ke atas ni masa cuaca panas & ok. Nampak gaya macam nak kena sampai ke sini lagi jer, hehehe.

The chair shelter which has been converted into a restraunt

Apart from breathtaking view on The Sky Terrace 428 & surrounding peak area, there is also a Sky Gallery which displays 17 historical photos that enable visitors to step back in time to the old Hong Kong and see how it has changed over time. Anyway, kami tak masuk pun.

Ada the peak gallery juga di sini

Nice track for jog... anytime possible sebab cuaca yang sejuk di sini

We shopped on the way back

We returned down after spend almost 4 hours at the peak. From the Peak Tram Station, we took a short walk back to MTR Central Station heading to our next destination Mongkok Ladies market. Before that, we had our lunch at the garden area near the MTR central exit.

To be continued...
