Miyajima Island, Hiroshima, Japan
Sunday, 17 Apr 2016
Dari Osaka ke Hiroshima, kami naik Shinkansen (SAKURA train dari station Shin-Osaka). Kami decide ambil train kedua paling awal which is 6.25am. Pukul 6.00am macam awal sangat pulak. Boleh check timing masa nak reserve seat. We reserved seat a day earlier at Shin-Osakan Station. Alhamdulillah kami dapat seat together. Estimated duration is about 91minit.
We arrived sharp at 7.56am at Hiroshima Station. Turun saja dari Shinkansen, kena exit dulu &take local train to Station Miyajimaguchi (JR Sanyo Line). On the way nak sampai ke Miyajimaguchi station dah boleh kelihatan Miyajima Island dari kejauhan. Memang cantik cuaca hari ni. Nampak panas tapi boleh tahan juga sejuk. Lebih-lebih lagi masa naik Ferry nak sampai ke Miyajima, huhuhu.

All transportation mentioned above covered by JR Pass.

Naik Ferry to Miyajima Island |
Miyajima Island is one of Japan's Three Most Scenic Spots. Di sini lah terdapat World Cultural Heritage Miyajima Itsukushima Shrine i.e. temple tempat sami menuntut ilmu. The most interesting spot di sini adalah pintu gerbangnya yang dipanggil O-Torii yg berdiri sendiri atas kekuatan kayunya. Bila air surut akan nampak hingga tapaknya & akan tenggelam sebahagiannya bila air naik. Anyway, Torii gate can be accesed during the low tide. Meaning visitors are allowed to approach the Torii gate.

Nice place to capture photo |
Miyajima Island ni memang sangat cantik. Dan kebetulan masa kami sampai ni, cuaca memang sangat cantik. Ada juga rusa-rusa liar yang dibiar berkeliaran. Tapi baik-baik sebab deria bau rusa-rusa kat sini memang kuat. Boleh jadi dia akan follow kalau bau makanan, hehehe. Selain itu, terdapat beberapa taman juga ropeway di kawasan sekitar pulau ni. Kepada kaki hikers, Miyajima
Island juga adalah spot untuk hiking. Masa kami sampai tu, dah nampak ada one big veteran group tengah warm-up nak panjat Mt. Misen.

The torii appears to be floating only at high tide. When the tide is low, it is approachable by foot from the island. |

The Lost Samurai |
Kami spend about 2 hrs disini
sebab nak cover the other side of Hiroshima city pulak. Kami perlu balik semula ke Hiroshima central untuk ke other attraction at Hiroshima. Perjalanan yang sama dari Hiroshima station nak ke Miyajimaguchi station, cuma reversed.
