2nd & 3rd April 2011
Fraser's Hill, Pahang
Aku tak plan pun nak pi Pine Tree Hill nie tapi masa borak2 dengan my ex-collegue Polo, suddenly idea nak gi sini tiba-tiba jer pop-out. Luckily, dia cakap Siew May pernah gi situ and stay in MMC Bungalow with rental only RM40 per night. Without a second thought, I met Yong Siew May and arranged apa yang patut… tanye tu… tanye ni… padahal masa tu aku cuma ada 2 weeks jer lagi before nak gi Mount Kinabalu… Boleh tak? Tapi excited punye pasal aku pun trus memulakan langkah pertama aku… book Bungalow. Aku suruh si Gojes tolong book kan memandangkan ade miscommunication masa aku mula2 nak book tu… between senior exec & executive… errkkk... whatever. Alhamdulillah, luckily we managed to get it on April 2nd & 3rd… 5 days before nak naik Gunung Kinabalu. Masa tu dah terbayang kekecewaan a few of my frens yang tak dapat nak join.
As promised, all of us met at Petronas Taman Melati just in front of MRR2. Sepatutnyer we’re supposed to meet up at 5 a.m but that time we’re still at Gojes house, baru nak gerak. Emmhh…biaselah… masa tu lah baru nak decide brape keter nak bawa memandangkan dah terlebih muatan. We arrived at meeting point around 5.45 a.m and masa tu our Guide, Uteh and his 2 assistants dah terduduk menunggu kami, gadis2 jelita nie. Sorry Uteh, aku tau kau dah sampai before 5 a.m. lagi… yea, byk sms ko send kat aku pagi tu… next time I promised we’ll try to make it on time. Maybe next time I should be more organized.
Sampai2 pun kami tak gerak lagi, since dah dekat dengan Suboh kami pun Solat dulu and then baru gerak around 6.15 a.m… and sempat lagi tu breakfast McD. We started our Journey thru Kuala Kubu Bharu. We arrived at kaki puncak Fraser Hill around 8.30 a.m and the real journey to the Fraser Hill is going to begin. The road, I would say is more challenging than in Cameron Highland. Why? Nasib baik lah is only for 30 minutes if not I guaranteed it will become worse to some of us. Luckily, I’m OK.
We arrived at Fraser's Hill top around 9.00 a.m but before we can get to the top, we had to queue first. This is the rules here before you can really get up there. The road is one way, allowing only one way car at a time. so, either let the car going up first or let the car from top going down first... alternate. But, don’t have to worry because the time already been setting and you just need to wait for your turn, plus there’s a guard. Luckily during our arrival, we don’t need to wait for so long, about 10 minutes macam tu, the gate was opened and we started our 15 minutes journey thru jalan yang penuh berliku. Kalau orang tak biase memang pening skit lah… driver’s focus is really important. Mencabar wei… rase macam bawa keter kat Formula one.
Sila patuhi arahan lalulintas
You have to wait for your turn
Welcome to Bukit Fraser
Alhamdulillah, we arrived at Fraser Hill at 9.30 a.m. Sementara Uteh uruskan apa yang patut kat Balai Polis. Aku, Fad and a few others pergi kat our Bungalow pergi letak apa yang patut… Check-in. Sampai2 jer, ader lah ternampak one uncle and aunty ni sedang sapu2 sampah, bila nampak je kita orang dia pun tersengih. I guest… ni lah caretaker of the Bungalow kot. Seram sejuk plak aku tengok… alahhh macam dalam citer2 seram melayu kat TV tu. Sempat lah kenal jap with that makcik n then kita orang pun punggah masuk apa yang patut and then kluar balik. Tengok time macam dah lambat je ni nak start hiking.
Around 10a.m macam tu kita orang kumpul balik and start going up to Pine Tree Trail starting point. Tak jauh mana pun, adelah 10 minutes macam tu je pun dari our Bungalow. Before we started hiking, ada short briefing from Uteh… standard lah kan… dos and donts while u in the jungle. Lepas briefing, ade group photography jap and then, baru lah start hiking…Fuhh. Masa tue je dah pukul 10.45 a.m and to me, it was already late. Tapi aku berdoa je lah semoga sempat sampai. Baca kat blog, the track to the Pine Tree takes about 6 km, wow, macam dari track Timpohon nak ke Laban Rata jauh nyer.
Group photo
All the way to the Pine Tree Peak you will notice that the track more or less look like a track at Mesilau. You could see trees, flowers, moses and few others were really enthusiasted and awesome. Like Mesilau at Mount Kinabalu, here also you will see that each KM will be marked with KM you have reached.
Starting of the track
Macam kat Mesilau jer
Cuma tangga nyer tak sebanyak kat Mesilau
Count your distance

Nice View on the way to the Pine Tree Peak
Menikmati keindahan alam
Geng Gunung ke... yang maintain
This time, I was not so rushing like what I did in Mesilau last time. I preferred to be more relax and cool… the reason… too many beautiful things I can’t resist to capture. OMG… I already felt the mood of hiking in Mesilau track.
Bunga ni pun unik juga
You could only see this when u almost reaching the peak
I luv this... almost everywhere you could see this unique tree
Pokok bermisai
Sepupu sepapat Rafflesia
We managed to reach the peak at 2.30 p.m. About 4 hours juga lah… maybe boleh improve the record kalu kurang stop and amik gambar. Kami pun santai-santai jap, makan and photography session lagi. By that time it was already 3 p.m. Uteh cakap, we can proceed to the Twin Peak tapi another 1 hour to get there from Pine Tree Peak. Tak jauh sangat pun tapi memandangkan we’ll arrive there around 4 p.m itupun kalau tak stop… macam dah lewat sangat pulak kan nak return balik. And masa tue plak, kawan Huzz injured, not so serious but will take more time if we keep proceed. Uteh cakap dia boleh bawa juga Cuma nanti kita orang jalan dalam gelap lah nak balik nanti… hehehe… serious pakcik ni. Taking so many things into consideration, we all decided not to proceed and balik je lah. Maybe next time lah nampak nyer. Aku rase kalu kami cepat skit pagi tu, maybe we still have time to reach the Twin Peak. Supposely we should start the hiking around 8 a.m macam tu as per itinerary but macam dah wasted 2 hours because of our lateness.
Beautiful view you could see from Pine Tree Peak
The gorgeous view on the way back
On the way return, hujan sangat lebat, track also getting slippery and it’s getting dark at 2km on the way back to the starting point. Tapi kali ni kami tak amik gambar dah and tak stop sangat pun sebab nak kejar masa. Aku, Huzz, Bai, T-rah, Akmar reached the Pine Tree entrance around 7 p.m. Half and hour lepas tu baru lah Gojes, Boboy n two Munirahs arrived. Yang lain dah sampai lagi awal. Alhamdulillah.
End of Pine Tree tracking
After that, we returned to Tanglin Bungalow. Uteh and the Geng tak join… dia orang straight away back to KL. Masa tu lansung tak terlintas anything pun pasal Bungalow tu. Yang aku pasti nak sampai cepat, nak mandi, solat and Barbeque. Cuma mase nak sampai ke Bungalow tu je lah… mase tu pun dah nak pukul 8p.m and faham2 je lah yea perasaan orang yang bawa keter.
