Cuti-cuti Taman Negara Part 2

Mutiara Taman Negara
Saturday, 15 Nov 2014

After heavy breakfast at café Mutiara, kami pun memulakan perjalanan menuju Canopy walkway. Seperti yang dirancang, hari ni memang kami nak spend buat activity saja pun.

Actually, package cuti-cuti kami tak termasuk entrance & guide fee aktiviti di Taman Negara. So, kalau nak buat aktiviti kena lah bayar extra on top of our main package. Tapi memandangkan certain aktiviti tak memerlukan guide i.e. canopy walkway, so, boleh lah berjalan sendiri ke destinasi & pay only entrance fee RM5.

Perbualan awal bersama staff Mutiara Taman Negara, kami dapat RM200 for 6 pax for combine activity of canopy walkway + Jungke Trekking + Rapid Shooting (one boat) + Visit kampong Orang Asli. Tapi, bila TH organizer ajak join skali buat activity together with their group & other hunters, so, kami dapat lah M28.50 per pax. Basically lagi murah lah. Cumanya, kami tak sempat pun nak buat aktiviti trekking to Bukit Teresek. Sebab lepas habis jer aktiviti canopy walk, kami terus tunggu boat berdekatan sebab rapid shooting memang otw dah kalau naik dari tempat turun canopy walk. So, tak perlulah patah balik ke Mutiara nak naik boat, jimat masa & tenaga.

From our chalet, just follow the signboard heading to Canopy walkway

Facts...

Taman Negara Canopy Walkway is situated 1.5km from Park HQ. Regarded as one of the longest in the world, it stretches 530m in length and 40m above forest floor with 11 platforms constructed on tree top and provides bird’s eye view of rainforest 5 main canopy layers. Originally build up for research purposes, it has become the highlight of the trip to Taman Negara and a popular place for bird enthusiast.

Dari chalet Mutiara, kami cuma perlu follow available route heading to Canopy waklway. Perjalanan lebih kurang 1.5km thru the Taman Negara Rainforest. Compare to Mulu Canopy walk, tak banyak hidupan unik yang kami dapat lihat otw to Canopy walkway Taman Negara. But, the trail view still has its own unique characteristic & interesting view.

Ready to walk on world’s longest suspension bridge

Rapid Shooting

After canopy walk, kami terus naik boat for our next activity, rapid shooting. Mula-mula tu memang tak faham lah macam mana activity ni kan, ingat kan adalah macam rafting tu tapi bila dah buat terasa macam berlumba-lumba dengan boat sebelah sapa yang paling banyak kena basah. Hampeh betul. So, basically air sungai tembeling ni takkan buat korang basah pun kalau kena gayanya tapi sebab kami ada dua boat, so, nak tunjuk betapa bestnya pekena boat sebelah. Tapi yang jadi mangsa memang kami-kami lah penumpang. Boatman cool jer pekena orang. Yang basah sakan, kami-kami ni lah. Walaupun activity kami ni tak sampai satu jam tapi best jugalah… at least aku dah tahu rapid shooting tu macam mana. And prepare to get all wet. Rasanya, kalau lagi lama mesti lagi enjoy.

Team Gadis Semasa prepare for rapid shooting

Penat tapi sangat seronok sebab dah lama tak buat aktiviti melibatkan air ni. Terasa rindu pulak nak buat rafting lagi, huhuhu. Teringat KLMJ bersama-sama GGK dolu-dolu di KKB, our first rafting experience. First time tapi best sangat.

KK Famiy Trip Day 2: Poring Hot Spring

Thurs, 24 January 2013
Poring Hot Spring - Canopy Walkway
Ranau, sabah

Our first destination for 2nd day was Poring Hot Spring. From Seri Kinabalu Resort to Poring Hot Spring, it took almost 1 hour.

Crossing this bridge to Hot Spring

Perjalanan di teruskan... just follow the route

Welcome to Poring Hot Spring

The Hot Spring view from top

Permulaan perjalanan melalui anak sungai yang tenang

Mak & Dayah... walaupun sakit kaki tapi masih semangat nak naik

Teknik psycology yang aku selalu gunakan bila nak encourage orang naik cepat... "sikitttt jer lagi...dah nak sampai"... nampak nye tak berkesan kat adik aku Dayah semenjak dia follow aku ke Bukit Kutu.

Bamboo Trees marked your starting point

If you want to take photos up here... please pay first at the entrance together with entrance fee. RM5 per camera. Camera phone also counted, ok. Do not cheat cos someone will be watching you... hehehe. Lesson learn from previous experience.

Starting point... Canopy Walkway

Excited My Mum dapat naik Canopy walkway

Actually aku dah kasi warning kat adik aku ni tapi sebab nak sangat naik... so, let it be.

Farish pon naik juga tau... cuma terpaksa didukung lah

Canopy Walkway

Menikmati keindahan alam

Found this unique tree on the way down

Trek nak trurun after finished canopy walkway sama jer macam nak naik tadi

Sampai je bawah kami tak mandi pon... rendam kaki jer sebab ramai sangat orang time ni. Lupa masa ni cuti Maulud Nabi... no wonder lah ramai orang. Spend about 1 hour there, then kami gerak ke Kundasang semula nak ke Desa Cattle Farm at Mesilau pulak.

Dah penat mendaki... tibalah masa nye merendam kaki

Our next destination... Desa Cattle Farm.

Mulu Day 5 - Canopy Walk

Mulu Canopy Walk
Sunday, 16th Jan 2011
9a.m - 11a.m

Our last activity at Mulu... walking on the world's longest tree based walkway in the world. Seriously, long and I felt like no ending when I started to walk....hahaha. Tapi kalau gayat pun bleh jer... tapi my tips pejam mata yea.

On the way to Canopy Walk... passed by this bridge

... and also this bridge... Sungai Paku

Pokok Kasai

Starting of Canopy Walk

Nampak Cool jer minah ni kan

Peace... without fear I completed the walk

If it's rain, we're not allowed to walk on the canopy walkaway. Luckily, by the time we arrived there, the rain has stopped... Alhamdulillah. The suspension bridge was really strong since supported by a very stable big trees i.e. Pokok Kasai and a few others. Every stop between the two bridges you will find a very useful information on every tree...the tree that support the suspension bridge ends. So, not only you walk & having fun but at the same time, you will learn something about the rainforest....trees, floras and faunas. Lots of information you may found during your walk and each of it will have a different interesting stories.

During our canopy walk... Seria did asked us a few tricky questions since kita orang tak banyak tanye. Hahaha....salah satu nyer...

"Pokok kita rich with Nutrien or less with Nutrien"

All of us answered, "Rich with Nutrien".... bagus anak-anak tapi salah yea...it was actually less with Nutrien. Seria pun explained lah dekat kami semua why it was less with Nutrien?....rupa-rupa nyer sebab lapisan bumi sekarang ni dah semakin nipis that's why it less with Nutrien.

Maybe because she's a kristian so she believed with what she had seen and explored but as a Muslim we can believe on that as preparation but we have to remember that everything happened is coming from Him (Allah).

So nice

Kenapa daun ni berlubang? Can u guess why?

You could see this unique flower

Plan for next time trip to Mulu... Insyallah

End of our Canopy Walk

With Sirea...our guide of the day... nice knowing Her

Finally end our trip....see u again Mulu

Can't wait for our next trip tu Mulu conquering Mount Mulu. Wait n See.
