My Department Trip: Langkawi Island

Lamanya menyepi dari sebarang update on my travel trip. Of course lah takde trip yang nak di story kan. Lebih-lebih lagi memikirkan budget besar yang bakal dileburkan untuk ke korea in another 2 weeks time. Budget bersih jer without shopping & foods jer dah rm1500. Actual budget maybe tak sampai tapi contingency budget mesti ada kan. Manalah tahu.

Anyway, I just came back from my department trip about 3 days back yang agak sikit mengecewakan. Kecewa bukan sebab tak dapat nak cover jalan-jalan satu pulau tu tapi lebih kepada something yang aku expect to be exciting turns out to be not so exciting.

Supposedly, overseas trip kami ke Hanoi & Halong Bay sebab dapat vote paling tinggi among staffs tapi bila time final confirmation cuma 21 orang je yang willing. So, jadinya cancel lah sebab syarat nak buat overseas trip mesti more then 35 pax. Lastly, langkawi jugalah yang menjadi pilihan hati. Actually, ada option lain juga tapi apa kan daya trip ke Grand Lexis PD jatuh date aku nak ke Korea. Emmhh... melepas lah nak merasa Pool inside the room.

Anyway, lets get back to the story kat langkawi.

For this 3D2N Langkawi trip, we stayed at Resort World Langkawi which is formerly known as Awana Porto Malai Hotel. And each staff was given Deluxe Garden View.

Deluxe Garden View RM620 for 3D2N stay macam tak berbaloi jer. Garden View sangat tapi facing the carpark, hahaha. Whatever lah. Nak komplen pun tak guna sebab yang organize pun tak join trip ni. After returned, all staffs yang joined the trip received email "....please provide your personal feedback for the Langkawi trip.... blah blah blah"

Ada pulak yang respond "maybe the hotel is not as expected, but I found that the hotel is not that bad...". Boleh pulak dia jawab macam ni. Aku tak kenal staff yang respond ni, al-maklum deparment aku ni besar, so, kalo ko tak buat project skali, peluang memang agak tipis nak kenal ramai orang unless ko deparment secretary, hahaha. Entah lah, maybe first time dia pergi bercuti ke aku tak sure lah or maybe sebab dia tak payah keluar kan duit for the accomodation, so, dia rasa thankful sangat... tapi yang aku paling tak puas hati management hotel pun tak berapa nak ok.

First, after check-in, kami diberi bilik yang lokasinya paling hujung skali & hotel cuma ada satu lift sahaja kat bahagian lobby. Dah tu, receptionist tu bukan nak kasi clear instruction nak ke bilik kami. Memang nak mengamuk juga lah cari bilik dengan luggage yang berat dan kami kena menapak sangat jauh tu.

Second, no internet free, kalo nak free dekat lobby sahaja, OK. itupun reception sucks. Kalau nak guna kat bilik, pay RM10 for 1 hour. What?? Room already expensive, why we still have to pay for the wifi. Anyway, we're not going to use like 24hrs. Kenapalah Malaysia ni, kata nak menuju negara maju.... but why we still have to pay for the WIFI at almost all hotels & hot spot areas. Malu lah pergi negara lain, amek budget hotel pun boleh dapat free wifi. Come on Malaysia, wake up.

Third, room was not as what we expected. Pay RM310 per night for deluxe double is like staying in 3 stars hotel deluxe double. No speciality. Maybe, kalau dapat sea view, aku tak heran sangat tapi ni garden view yang menghadap parking. Apakah? Next time sila tukar description "Deluxe double with parking view". Satisfy juga kan... tapi kalau garden view pun, aku rasa takde apa yang nak dibanggakan sebab takde apa pun yang menarik. Nampak nya aku jer lah yang berangan lebih,

Fourth, macam mana boleh ada gambar sunset kat dalam website dia padahal, that thing only happened on the other side of Island. Sebab apa aku tahu, dulu masa aku pergi dengan Sarina & Kim, kami ke Tanjung Rhu nak kejar kan sunset. Ni lagi satu penipuan yang obvious kat website dia. Cik Fad pun boleh tertipu tu.

Tapi yang aku tak nafikan, view kat sini memang awesome especially masa sunrise. Foods, so so jer.

Actually, aku belum pun reply lagi feedback on Langkawi trip tu sebab macam nak tengok orang lain respond macam mana dulu. Takut nanti aku saja yang comment lebih-lebih tapi staffs lain cool jer kan.

Although, I'm kind of budget traveller & I'm not paying for the hotel for this department trip but still satisfaction should be the priority. At least, something value for the money. As a customer, I feel really disappointed.
