Alhamdulillah... finally I’ve made my time to be here. So, memang betullah citer Nadia yang bukit ni memang tak tinggi mana pun compared to other hills that I've conqured. Sounds like… banyak nye bukit aku dah naik yea sampai boleh buat comparison. Tinggi lagi bukit Apek, Bukit Gasing, Bukit Tabur & bukit-bukit yang sewaktu dengan nye lah. But, for sure tinggi lagi gunung Kinabalu. I missed this mountain a lot. Aku rasa macam termimpi-mimpi nak naik Gunung Kinabalu… macam dejavu di Kinabalu pulak. I should revisit this place again this year but somehow… I didn’t.
I honestly admitted that although the challenges are not there on the way to the top but the view around the Tasek Hijau a.k.a KDE Reservoir was so awesome & so nice to see. This reservoir is situated on the hillside above the KDE golf course at the end of Jalan 1.
It wasn’t hard to get here. The landmark was KDE a.k.a Kelab Darul Ehsan. Only walking distance from KDE. If you drive, just park your cars a bit front from the KDE. Normally, you will see few cars already there at the roadside. Then, continue walking about 5 to 10 minutes until the end of Jalan 1 where you will find a small stream between two bungalow houses with a path to the right of it. From there, just follow the trekking route until you reach the KDE Reservoir. It took us around 15 minutes to reach there through a moderate hiking trail.

Finally, we're here
|
We made a half walk around the
lake before proceed with hiking to the peak. The hiking trail to the peak just
like trail at Apek’s Hill (for those already hiking there). But, compare to
Apek’s Hill this one take less than half an hour to reach the peak. But,
somehow it depends on individual stamina too. But, this hill is really OK for
the beginner.

Since nothing so special up there, we took around 15 minutes rest and then descending following the same route. As we reached down, again, we continued walking the other half of the lake.
On the way to complete the other half on the lake, we’ve met with secret route to mystery houses. Jeng… Jeng…Jeng…Nampak macam rumah yang orang dah lama tinggalkan. Macam quarters gomen pun ade. Haishhh… seriau juga ni kalu lalu petang-petang, al maklum rumah peninggalan… teringat citer citer kat TV tau. Tapi sebab siang kan so, buat-buat berani lah.

| The Mystery House... rumah sapa lah nie |

| Nice place to relax |
 |
| OK... time to go back... end of our hiking trip |
Our trekking back to where we started not just end like that. Actually, on the way up to KDE Reservoir, there was waterfall on our left path. I’m not sure where the water source came from but for sure not from the Bungalow houses… hehehe. What I could say… the water is so irresistible. Tak boleh tak kena air… tak mandi pun takpe asalkan dapat main air dia. Memang best lah. Tak puas rasa nye. Nyesal juga tak bawa towel & baju spare. Anyway, I will definitely repeat the trip to this place.

| The water stream from the waterfall |
 |
| Air terjun ni memang so irresistable lah... menyesal juga sebab tak bawa swimming suit |
 |
| We're really having fun |
 |
| We headed back to where we parked our cars |
I really enjoyed this short hiking trip. Thanks to Nadia & Adi, for showing us this beautiful secret place. Plan to go there again next time. Insyallah.
