Morning Hike @ Taman TAR Ampang

Saturday, 6 Oct 2012
7.30 a.m

Location: Taman TAR, Ampang
Parking: Beside the road (near Kelab Darul Ehsan)
Estimated time (up and down): 1 hour

Alhamdulillah... finally I’ve made my time to be here. So, memang betullah citer Nadia yang bukit ni memang tak tinggi mana pun compared to other hills that I've conqured. Sounds like… banyak nye bukit aku dah naik yea sampai boleh buat comparison. Tinggi lagi bukit Apek, Bukit Gasing, Bukit Tabur & bukit-bukit yang sewaktu dengan nye lah. But, for sure tinggi lagi gunung Kinabalu. I missed this mountain a lot. Aku rasa macam termimpi-mimpi nak naik Gunung Kinabalu… macam dejavu di Kinabalu pulak. I should revisit this place again this year but somehow… I didn’t.

I honestly admitted that although the challenges are not there on the way to the top but the view around the Tasek Hijau a.k.a KDE Reservoir was so awesome & so nice to see. This reservoir is situated on the hillside above the KDE golf course at the end of Jalan 1.

It wasn’t hard to get here. The landmark was KDE a.k.a Kelab Darul Ehsan. Only walking distance from KDE. If you drive, just park your cars a bit front from the KDE. Normally, you will see few cars already there at the roadside. Then, continue walking about 5 to 10 minutes until the end of Jalan 1 where you will find a small stream between two bungalow houses with a path to the right of it. From there, just follow the trekking route until you reach the KDE Reservoir. It took us around 15 minutes to reach there through a moderate hiking trail.

From KDE, we took this route (Jalan 1) to the starting point... about 5 to 10 minutes walk

Starting point... small stream between the bungalow & Terrace houses

Continue walking on this route

This Uncle very familiar with this area

Got small water stream flow from the top of the Hill... I guest

Start Hiking to the Tasek Hijau a.k.a KDE Reservoir

The staircases to the KDE Reservoir

Resting area before further walk to KDE Reservoir

Not sure what is this but... marked your half way to the KDE Reservoir

Proceed this way to KDE Reservoir

Finally, we arrived at Tasek Hijau a.k.a KDE Reservoir

The favourite spot at KDE Reservoir Taman TAR

Proceed this way

The other side of Tasek Hijau a.k.a KDE Reservoir

On the way to our hiking starting point, we've met with this small waterfall

Continue walk on this way...

And this way...

Photoshoot session

Be careful with the Fallen Tree

Beautiful Morning view at Tasek Hijau

Zoon in skit... view from the opposite side

Finally, we're here

We made a half walk around the lake before proceed with hiking to the peak. The hiking trail to the peak just like trail at Apek’s Hill (for those already hiking there). But, compare to Apek’s Hill this one take less than half an hour to reach the peak. But, somehow it depends on individual stamina too. But, this hill is really OK for the beginner.

Starting Point ascending the hill

The staircases on the way to the top

Easy trail for Miss Farah

Through this Fallen Trees

Follow this way...

We're on top of the Hill

Resting Area on top of the Hill

Since nothing so special up there, we took around 15 minutes rest and then descending following the same route. As we reached down, again, we continued walking the other half of the lake.

On the way to complete the other half on the lake, we’ve met with secret route to mystery houses. Jeng… Jeng…Jeng…Nampak macam rumah yang orang dah lama tinggalkan. Macam quarters gomen pun ade. Haishhh… seriau juga ni kalu lalu petang-petang, al maklum rumah peninggalan… teringat citer citer kat TV tau. Tapi sebab siang kan so, buat-buat berani lah.

The Mysterious route

The Mystery House... rumah sapa lah nie

Ade juga yang memancing... tapi tak nampak pula apa hasil tangkapan nye... emmmmhhhh.... foreigner plak tu, maybe next time I should ask Him

Finally our turn to capture the moment here :-)

Be carefull while you were here... looked very deep

Sarangheee :-)

Pitcher Plant

Mengkarung

Nice place to relax
OK... time to go back... end of our hiking trip

Our trekking back to where we started not just end like that. Actually, on the way up to KDE Reservoir, there was waterfall on our left path. I’m not sure where the water source came from but for sure not from the Bungalow houses… hehehe. What I could say… the water is so irresistible. Tak boleh tak kena air… tak mandi pun takpe asalkan dapat main air dia. Memang best lah. Tak puas rasa nye. Nyesal juga tak bawa towel & baju spare. Anyway, I will definitely repeat the trip to this place.

The water stream from the waterfall

Air terjun ni memang so irresistable lah... menyesal juga sebab tak bawa swimming suit

We're really having fun

We headed back to where we parked our cars

I really enjoyed this short hiking trip. Thanks to Nadia & Adi, for showing us this beautiful secret place. Plan to go there again next time. Insyallah.

  3. Saya ni nak pesan je yg rumah banglo sebelah kanan tu keras sikit maklumlah tuan rumah dh lama bunuh diri...Yang bunuh diri tu perempuan anak orang kaya, nama dia tak silap saya sulamariah... Dia duduk sorang je dalam rumah banglo tu.Ada kes dulu pencuri masuk rumah tu lepastu 2 minggu kemudian baru pencuri tu dapat keluar dari rumah tu... Time tu orang yg jogging terjumpa dia dekat depan pagar kurus kering dah lama kene kurung dengan benda dalam rumah tu... Kalau nak masuk dalam rumah tu kene ada orang yg tau serba sedikit pasal benda ghaib sebab takut apa2 terjadi.. Sampai sekarang perabot complete semua masih ada lagi gambar sulamariah pon ada lekat dekat dinding... Tu je la yg saya boleh bagi tau sebab dh lama stay dkt2 situ sebab tu dah tau la pasal rumah tu... Tapi saya tak galakkan naik tingkat atas rumah tu sebab benda yg tak diingini slalu berlaku dekat sapa yg naik tingkat atas banglo tu... Sekian terima kasih sebab sanggup ambil masa baca penerangan saya
